5 Must-Have Baby Products
Caring for a baby can be both challenging and rewarding, especially for first-time parents. The overall process can be simplified by doing things systematically and bringing a sense of routine and habit into it. To create a perfect all-day care routine for a baby, parents must always have certain must-have baby products. These products are vital to keeping babies healthy and happy throughout the day. Here are some must-have baby products:
Nursery furniture
During the infant stage, babies are usually kept in a nursery, which requires several items, such as a crib and crib mattress. Other optional items that can be added to the nursery include a changing table, a rocking chair or glider, a bassinet, a humidifier or vaporizer, a chest or dresser that is fixed on the nursery wall, and a baby monitor for 24/7 supervision of the infant. For a larger house, cameras can also be used to monitor the baby’s movements. While the crib and mattress are the most essential items for a nursery, the other optional items can improve the overall functionality of the nursery.
Diapering gear
Diapers are a massive part of any baby’s initial stages of life. Therefore, having a diapering kit is non-negotiable for families. Some of the necessities for diapering gear are two packs of newborn diapers, diaper rash ointment to soothe babies if they sustain diapering injuries, a diaper pail or trash can with a tight and solid lid, and wipes.
Each of these things allows parents to make the process of putting on new diapers or changing filthy ones much easier and quicker on a daily basis.
Clothing essentials
To keep babies clean, comfortable, and hygienic, there are several clothing essentials that parents should have. These include 7 or more snap-crotch bodysuits (also known as onesies), 3 or 4 pairs of pants, T-shirts and side-snap shirts, several snap-up zippered rompers, 6 to 7 pairs of sleeping gowns or pajamas, multiple sun hats, 6 pairs of socks, multiple booties, and hangers to organize their clothes in the closet.
In addition to these must-haves, parents can also have several shirt-and-pants sets, baby rash guards or swimsuits (if babies are taken to the pool or beach), and fancy outfits for special occasions.
Baby feeding essentials
Babies need to be fed around the clock to keep them nourished. Therefore, the baby feeding kit must include about 8 to 10 bottles and nipples to chew and suck, a bottle brush, a breast pump for mothers intending to breastfeed their kids, a dishwasher basket for small things, milk storage bags, nipple cream to ease the breast area after feeding kids, a high chair, about 8 bibs, 4 to 8 burp clothes, a bottle warmer, a bottle sterilizer, and a baby feeding pillow.
Bathing and grooming essentials
It is essential to bathe and groom babies to keep them clean throughout the day. Some of the essentials of baby bathing and grooming to have in one’s house include 2 hooded towels, 4 washcloths, an infant tub for use after the umbilical cord falls off, baby shampoo, a baby comb and brush set, and an inflatable tub-within-a-tub.
